6 Reasons I Might Not Be the Coach for You (and That’s Okay)


1. You’re looking for the “perfect” coach

Spoiler: I’m not her. I have indecisive days, I lose motivation, and yes—I’ve taken the occasional sit-down shower. But I’m also committed to learning, growing, and helping others do the same. Our coaching won’t be perfect, but it will be real, powerful, and full of growth.


2. You want a step-by-step plan

Coaching with me isn’t a paint-by-numbers kind of deal. It’s about showing up, seeing what’s present in the moment, and exploring what matters most. Some sessions are deep and emotional, others are playful or totally unexpected. The magic happens when we trust the process.


3. You don’t want any mess

Real life is messy. Growth is messy. And that’s okay. I pull from a mix of tools—Co-Active Coaching, mindfulness, yoga, psychology, books, TED Talks—you name it. There’s no single fix, but we’ll use what fits you best, and we’ll make peace with the chaos along the way.


4. You’re just after advice or answers

I’m not here to tell you what to do. I am here to help you find your own answers. You know yourself better than anyone else ever will. I’ll ask the questions that help you understand yourself more deeply—and figure out what you actually want.


5. You’re not ready to be held accountable

I bring my all to coaching, and I expect you to show up too. If you want change but aren’t ready to do the work, I might not be your person. I’ll challenge you (gently or firmly!) to follow through—and we’ll explore what’s really going on when you don’t.


6. You don’t want to be called out

Sometimes I’ll say the thing no one else dares to. Not to be harsh—but because I care. You deserve honesty, and I’ll always speak the truth as I see it, with compassion. That’s how we get to the good stuff.
